Chelsea grew up in NE Portland and moved to Bend, Oregon in high school. After graduating from Redmond High School, she attended the University of Oregon where she earned her BA in Political Science and Spanish. Immediately after graduating, Chelsea went into the Peace Corps where she was an education volunteer in Mozambique, Africa for two years. Upon her return to the U.S., Chelsea started working as a legal assistant for a public defense firm which inspired her to apply to law school. She went on to complete her law degree at Lewis and Clark Law School.

Chelsea focused on family law throughout her time at Lewis & Clark. She enrolled in any specialized family law class available, was Vice President of the Family Law Society, and participated in an externship through St. Andrew Legal Clinic which allowed her to assist low-income families. Chelsea was admitted to the Oregon State Bar in 2017. After being admitted to the bar she practiced with Thompson Law Group and then worked as an associate attorney for Stephens & Margolin, PC until the formation of Margolin Family Law.

Family law involves assisting individuals through some of their most challenging times and Chelsea understands the wide-ranging impact divorce has on a family. Throughout the process, Chelsea focuses on ensuring that the client is informed, feels heard, and their interests are advocated for and protected. Chelsea is particularly sensitive to family law cases involving children and takes a child-focused approach to her cases. Chelsea always strives to resolve cases in the most efficient and amicable way possible but does not shy away from aggressive litigation when necessary to accomplish her client’s goals.

Chelsea enjoys spending her free time with family and takes advantage of Portland’s food scene whenever she can. She enjoys hiking, traveling, and spending time in Central Oregon.
